Two ways of getting roadside information

A little confusion in the August issue twixt the editor and me about roadside information. For clarification, passengers now have two possible ways of getting this. High-tech: GPS, either directly by the passenger (from a screen in the bus stop or from the internet on a smartphone) or via a phoned enquiry person who has access to the information. Low-tech: ringing an enquiry person who finds out some other way, like phoning the garage, as happened to me in Dover. There are various new high-tech schemes in the pipeline, including one very big one, but we still wait for them to see the light of day at the end of the testing and worry-about-bad-publicity-if-they-go-wrong tunnels.
