FedEx funds growing bus operations

FedEx, the American-based freight logistics company, has given $1.4million (£908,000) to help improve city bus services in India, Mexico and Brazil. The two-year grant to global urban transport solutions provider Embarq will help provide technical expertise that improve quality of life in cities. 'Some of the world's largest cities will be able to improve their public transit systems, which are critical in this time of rapid urbanisation,' Embarq director Holger Dalkmann says.
