First hints at more UK bus disposals

FirstGroup appears to be considering disposing of more parts of its UK Bus business but is not yet saying where. Briefing City analysts on its half-year results to 30 September, chief executive Tim O'Toole was asked about whether more bus disposals are being considered over and above the 201 1 sales of its small operation in King's Lynn and the ￡5.5million sale of its 130-vehicle German business. 'We don't want to announce where we're looking for disposals,' he said. 'I mean, there's employees involved, so we have to be somewhat reticent about going into that area.'
