Finnish coachbuilder Lahden Autokori, which bodies the OmniExpress coach on behalf of Scania, has gone into liquidation after failing to agree on the fast-track transfer of production to a new plant in Poland. The move means the loss of all 200 jobs in the southern Finnish town of Lahti where Lahden has been mounting the high-capacity touring coach bodywork on Scania chassis since 2007. The factory was custom-built for the model and around 550 examples have been turned out.
