Barbi Galileo comes in four lengths

BASE, the Lancashire dealership in the Holmeswood Group, had its first showing of the right-hand-drive versions of the Italian-built Barbi Galileo body, which it previewed in left-hand-drive last November. Both examples at this show were for the Holmeswood fleet, a 12.4m long, 3.6m high Galileo HDL 49-seater outside the halls on a two-axle MAN RR2 chassis and a 13.8m long, 3.8m high Galileo HDH 61-seater inside on a tri-axle MAN RR4 26.480. BASE sees the tri-axle model filling the gap in the market left by MAN's withdrawal of the Neoplan Starliner, with its high specification stainless steel body offering up to 20cum of luggage capacity. The two-axle version has 13.5cum for luggage.
