Disclosed are an apparatus for acquiring a Galileo E1 OS signal and a method thereof. The apparatus for acquiring a Galileo E1 OS signal, which is configured to acquire, using a delay-and-multiply (DM) technique, a Galileo E1 OS signal transmitted from satellites, comprises: a receiving unit for receiving a receiving signal with respect to a Galileo E1 OS signal; and a signal acquiring unit for calculating a decision variable using a first DM signal generated based on the receiving signal and an optimal time delay (σ_0) and a second DM signal generated based on a Galileo E1 OS signal known in advance and the optimal time delay (σ_0) and then acquiring the Galileo E1 OS signal using the decision variable. The optimal time delay (σ_0) is in a σ_0=nT_0=kπ/2πf_IF relationship, wherein n is an integer equal to or greater than 1, T_0 is a period of a primary code included in the Galileo E1 OS signal, k is an integer equal to or greater than 1, and f_IF is an intermediate frequency of the Galileo E1 OS signal.
