Daimler says operators in Germany and several other European countries are queuing up to buy the new electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro now offered with improved solid-state batteries. Twenty eCitaro two- and three-door variants are being supplied to three European operators only weeks after Daimler notched up a record order for 56 from Wiesbaden municipal ESWE near Frankfurt. Municipals in Mannheim, Furth and Heilbronn have also taken delivery of small batches and Munich has ordered two of the upcoming articulated version.
