Go South Coast's Wills to head Dublin operation

Go-Ahead Group has named one of its rising stars, Go South Coast operations director Ed Wills, as managing director of its new Dublin business.Wills has spent eight years at Go South Coast and is credited with leading many of the improvements in standard of service that culminated in the company being judged Operator of the Year at the UK Bus Awards in November. He also has been laying some of the groundwork for the introduction ofelectric buses later this year on the Salisbury park-&-ride.The Dublin operation, contracted by Transport for Ireland, will operate 125 buses and employ around 350 drivers on 24 routes in the outer areas of the Irish capital. It starts the first of them later this year and is required to operate all of them by February 2019. Most will operate from a new depot in Ballymount.His successor at Go South Coast is David Lee-Kong, who held a similar post with Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire.
