MCV unveils replacement single-deck body

MCV has revealed the replacement for its Evolution single-deck body, which the Egyptian manufacturer developed from the Duple Dartline designed for the newly launched Dennis Dart in 1988.The new body - available on the Volvo B8RLE chassis - takes some styling cues from the EvoSeti double-decker produced on Volvo's B5TL and B5LH. It is called EvoRa, Evo being a nod to the Evolution body, while Ra was the ancient Egyptian sun god, who had a human body and the head of a hawk orfalcon topped by a sun disc.The new front, rear and side skirt panels are designed for ease of repair, the headlights are the same as on the EvoSeti and the windscreen, with quarterlights, is similar to that on the double-decker. The structure remains Cromweld stainless steel, as on the Dartline.
