Arriva's Sapphire 130 service between Macclesfield and Manchester, previously reduced in frequency, is to be truncated short of the city centre at East Didsbury in late October. The new terminus, a little under 30min from central Manchester, enables the hourly service to be maintained with three instead of the current four buses. The Manchester end of the route is served comprehensively by Stagecoach, with parallel route 50 running at least every 10min over most of the same roads.
