Zoology and Paleozoology are two complementary approaches to the study the ani- mals as global entities. Respective contributions of both fields bring to each other mutual profits, even if the zoology supplies more information, in various topics using essentially as material the soft parts of the organisms (morphology, anatomy, histology, embryology, morphogenesis, physiology, systematics, taxonomy, phylogeny, genetics, biochemistry).
