Crucial links in the chain

Shiploaders and unloaders do not work in isolation. They form part of a longer materials handling chain transporting commodities from stockpile to vessel or vice versa. Consequently, the chain comprises multiple handling systems, such as stacker/reclaimers, conveyors and/or hoppers. So it makes sense to have all these individual pieces of handling equipment synchronised, and, where possible, with standardised components.
