Two for Elecon

Elecon Engineering of India has been awarded two major contracts for coal handling plant in its domestic market. The first is a US$92.6M order from the Damodar Valley Corp for coal handling equipment for the second phase of the Mejia Thermal power Station in Kolkata. Phase II consists of two 500MW generators and the supporting coal handling equipment to handle coal at 1250tph, including two stacker reclaimers and 27 conveyors.
