New iron ore bulkers

Japanese operator NYK has taken delivery of bao guo, a new 200,000 dwt bulk carrier. Built at Universal Shipbuilding Corporation's Tsu Shipyard in Tsu City, Japan, the new vessel will engage in the long-term transportation of iron ore for Baoshan Iron and Steel Co Ltd. It is expected to transport 600,000t of iron ore from Brazil each year over the remaining 11 years of the 12-year transport agreement.
