Growing interest in Botswanan coal

Coal mining firm CIC Energy has received a takeover offer from an Indian company that could get its Mmamabula coal project and associated railway back on track. CIC is entirely focused on developing the Mmamabula coal and coal bed methane (CBM) reserves, plus associated power projects, in Botswana.rnAlthough registered in the Virgin Islands, the company is listed in Canada and has re-ported a takeover offer of CS450M, although the identity of the bidder is subject to a con-fidentiality clause. CIC is cur-rently considering the offer.
