Metro Ports Canada Ltd has inked an agreement to manage operations at the new Westview Terminal in Port of Prince Rupert, Canada. The agreement with Pinnacle Renewable Energy Inc will see Metro Ports Canada - a Newfoundland and Labrador company that is wholly owned by Wilmington, California-based Nautilus International Holding Corp - operate the wood pellet railcar receiving, storage and vessel loading facility in the port. The $42M Westview Terminal wood pellet export facility is designed to receive wood pellets transported by rail from production plants in the interior of British Columbia, store in purpose-built storage silos, and load into bulk carriers destined for overseas markets.
