BG Group inks deal to study potential LNG exports from Prince Rupert Port

UK-based BG Group has signed an agreement with the Prince Rupert Port Authority to look at the possibility of exporting LNG from the port in British Columbia, according to port and company officials. "We have been working for a few months with the BG Group," Michael Gurney, manager for corporate commu- nications for the port authority, said February 8. "They are considering a number of sites on the B.C. north coast, but we think Prince Rupert has a lot to offer."
