There are various arguments about the environmental niceties of different forms of power generation. Some argue that biomass burning is merely carbon neutral, rather than carbon positive, while wind energy discharges no carbon for electricity generation. But what is often overlooked is that the UK's conversion to biomass handling has an overall positive effect on the country's economy. Wind turbines are designed and manufactured exclusively outside the UK, while more basic items, such as the steel bases and columns, are made in China.
