Italy's Bedeschi Handling has signed a €150M contract with Tuva Energy Industrial Corporation LLC (TEIC) to equip a new coal export ter- minal in the Russian Pacific port of Vanino. The deepwater facility is part of a US$6.7B project to enhance the capacity of Elegest coal mine, located in Tuva Republic near Kyzyl. TEIC's ambitious project includes construction of a 400 km railroad connecting the mine to the region's main commercial hubs and the new terminal at Vanino in Khabarovsk Territory.
