Office developers and consultants have reason to feel optimistic. The evidence shows that the big freeze on commercial development is gradually thawing and there could soon be more work around. A recent RICS report shows tenant demand picked up in the last three months of 2003 and, once all the empty buildings have been let office consultants' phones will start ringing again. Here, we take a look at some of these new technologies, what they are used for and what this means for office design.
