The first public housing estate to adopt mirco-climate studies in its design - the redevelopment of Upper Ngau Tau Kok Estate Phases 2 and 3 - was completed in 2008. The studies will be introduced at the planning stage of all new housing estates in the future.rnSince 2004, the HA has incorporated micro-climate studies in the layout plans and building designs of public rental housing projects.
