The subject is to provide a Catholic church and a Kindergarten for the residents of Tsuen Kwan O. The jury commends the elegance of the design, the silent presence of the form and a simple planning strategy that respond well to the nature of the site and the surrounding context.rnThe two structures are positioned onrnthe two ends of the plot, the Kindergarten configured as a curving slab block is situated next to the high density residential towers forming a bracket to mitigate the mass and to embrace the elegant church proper. A terrace garden designed for gathering of the congregation and other leisure activities connects the school and the Church.
