A St. Andrew's cross, which has the form prescribed by road traffic regulations, is proposed, the surface being provided, if appropriate, with a reflective finish. On the rear side of the St. Andrew's cross there is a centring device and holding clips for fastening on the supporting tube. The St. Andrew's cross according to the invention is unusual in that it has a basic piece and that releasably fastened on this basic piece are cross arms. The basic piece and the cross arms are composed of plastic. In the case of the St. Andrew's cross according to the invention, the centring device comprises at least one pair of centring prisms which are integrally formed onto the rear side of the basic piece.
