摘要

The project is to replace the core facilities in the existing regional acute hospital built in the 70's and opened in 1984. It is also the teaching hospital for the Medical School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The Extension Block will have about 800 beds and shall provide the following services: 1. Diagnostic and treatment 2. Accident and emergency services 3. Mortuary 4. Inpatient/outpatient pharmacy 5. Diagnostic radiology and organ imaging 6. A&E observation 7. Operating theatres and recovery 8. Core/rapid response laboratory 9. Blood bank 10. Intensive care coronary care unit 11. Burns surgery.
