Chicago Vocational Career Academy

For more than 75 years, the Chicago Vocational Career Academy has prepared students for careers in the trades. This project involved upgrading the facility's infrastructure and renovating the massive school while it remained fully operational. To minimize impact on the students and faculty, the team implemented a construction-phasing plan that, among other things, rotated students and academic programs away from the work areas. In addition, the project followed a compact, 10-month schedule.
