Planners set out basics of planning advice

The Planning Officers Society has told the Government its new national planning framework for England must set out the purpose and principles of the planning system, how it's supposed to work locally, key statutory designations and policies on particular areas of planning activity. The Society was responding to an informal planning policy review announced just before Christmas and covering major infrastructure as well as the new national framework. The POS has called for a meeting with ministers as soon as practicably possible.
