All change at the moment. Firstly, The NQMS. The number of Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs) reported last week was 39, and this week 60. But acceptance among local authority regulators may be harder. At a CLF:NET Conference, the predominantly regulator based audience was asked to raise their hands if they would view an SQP stamped report more favourably than a non-SQP one. No hands could be seen. One LA regulator said that she would judge the reports on their merits, and compare them. Another backed up this view, saying that in her experience there was little difference between SiLC vetted reports and non-SiLC vetted reports.
