Discovery Communications shook up its executive structure last week. Discovery Channel group president Eileen O'Neill will give up oversight of TLC and Discovery Fit & Health and add oversight of Velocity and Science Channel. She will continue to oversee Discovery Channel, the company's highest-rated network. Group president Marjorie Kaplan, who had overseen Velocity and Science Channel as well as Animal Planet, will continue to oversee Animal Planet while adding to her purview TLC, the company's second-highest-rated network.
