Olympus joins the chase with stylish first micro FourThird camera

Olympus is gearing up for the release, next week, of its first Micro FourThird camera.First revealed in September last year, Olympus' Micro FourThird model could feature a 12 million pixel resolution sensor and sport a HD video mode. The compact camera has long been rumoured to resemble the PEN line of cameras released in the 1950s and 1960s by Olympus.The launch, slated for 15 June,would coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first PEN camera, which took the world by storm in 1959. The compact size of the PEN cameras would fit with the Micro FourThird promises made last year by both Olympus and Panasonic.
