PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality knitted fabric beautiful in finish, causing no bending of the stitch loops at the bonded parts due to their facing one another, by knitting each part of a clothing using a flat knitting machine equipped with a pair of needle beds of specifically shaped cross section followed by bonding these parts by a specified means. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, using a flat knitting machine equipped with a pair of front and rear needle beds of specifically shaped cross section, respective parts comprising a clothing are knitted separately. Second, the parts on one side are transferred to the parts on the other side to superpose the stitches; at this time, the needle beds are put to racking to such an extent as to be equivalent to 2 to 4 needles to superpose the stitch loops on the outermost side at the boundary of the parts to be transferred on the stitch loops at the second to fourth wale of the adjacent part, thus forming a stitch 51. Thence, a yarn is supplied to the needle for a part on the other side including the stitch 51 to carry out knitting operation, thereby freeing the stitch 51 from the knitting needle, and repeating the above-mentioned procedure, thus accomplishing the bonding of the knitted fabric.
