Nineteen British-based photographers are among the 186 to make it through to the final round of this year's Sony World Photography Awards, BJP can exclusively reveal.Now in its second year, the awards recognise both pro and amateur shooters across several categories, from music and advertising to photojournalism and architecture. One professional will win the title of Sony World Photographer of the Year, a $25,000 cash prize and Sony pro camera gear, while the top amateur shooter will also be celebrated at the awards ceremony on 16 April in Cannes and receive $5000.
