Piozzo. It is one of those ancient Italian hill towns out in the country, this one 40 miles south of Turin. Its claim to fame is the quality of its pumpkins. An unlikely place in which to start a beer revolution, you'd think. But it is here that the most lauded figure in the Italian microbrewing movement plies his trade. Since opening his pub, Le Baladin, in 1986 and adding a brewery ten years later, Teo Musso has become a messianic figure for Italian beer drinkers.
