Body Image publishes summaries and abstracts of recently completed doctoral dissertations on topics consistent with the journal's Aims and Scope. The 150-word summaries will appear in the journal itself. The 1200-word abstracts will be published on a website linked from the journal's site. The dissertations must have been completed within the past two years and received final approval from the institution granting the degree. The reported research must not be accepted for publication elsewhere. Publication of the summary and abstract in Body Image does not preclude subsequent publication of a manuscript derived from the research. Summaries and abstracts must be submitted simultaneously and electronically in accordance with specific guidelines on the journal's website at. These documents will be reviewed for style and substance by Dr. Thomas F. Cash, Editor-in-Chief.
