Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has floated its newest addition to a growing portfolio of yachts. Recently launched was a 146ft all-aluminum fast displacement superyacht known as the 44 Alloy (pictured above). The exterior by Sanlorenzo and Zuccon International Project derives from the desire to build a relatively low-tonnage yacht with four decks and an expansive private owner's apartment spanning three levels. The owner's space, which occupies around 1,560 square feet, also includes outdoor areas. Another interesting feature is a large beach club opening on three sides, which has become a hallmark on many Sanlorenzos in recent years. In spite of its generous spaces, the yacht's gross tonnage is well below the 500GT threshold. The interior has been created by a big name from outside the yachting world -architect and interior designer Michele Bonan. The Italian is renowned for his work in luxury hotels and restaurants. In the US he has made his mark with Miami's Ritz-Carlton Residences.
