In the heart of the New York's Chelsea art district, Yancey Richardson's eponymous gallery represents over two dozen contemporary fine art photographers, among them Sebastiao Salgado, Lynn Geesa-men, Mitch Epstein, and Olivo Bar-bieri, as well as earlier modern masters like August Sander and Julius Shulman. Many have work in museum collections around the world. B&Wspoke with Richardson about today's market for contemporary work and her passion for photography.
