Chere Pafford

"After discovering photography when I was six or seven years old," says San Francisco Bay area photographer Chere Pafford, "I realized there was nothing else in the world I wanted to do. My dad gave me a Polaroid Swinger camera, and I used it to take pictures of my Barbies and whatever else I found in my childhood world. I was totally fascinated watching the picture magically appear, and by that little thing you swiped over the print after it developed-the fixer or whatever it was."
