Photography and jazz are a natural pair, but sometimes there are extraordinary coincidences that link them together. So it is with the Jazz Loft Project, featured in this issue. The saga of how it came to be is told in the article, but to fully appreciate that we have to begin with another story, one I first heard from an acquaintance named Dave, the father of my friend Jon Logan.
