Art Photo Index (API) is an innovative cloud-based visual database that was officially launched this past December by Rixon Reed, founder and director of photo-eye. The site provides collectors with access to more than 12,500 images by nearly 3,000 photographers from 85 countries. No password is required to access API. The site includes an extensive image/information database and an exhibition space with shows created by well-known curators from around the world.
