摘要

The eukaryotic genome is compacted in the cell nucleus, in a way that allows its faithful and ordered replication each cell cycle. Chromatin is organized into topologically constrained loops that are anchored to the nuclear matrix by specific attachment regions (SARs). Chromatin loops were proposed to correspond to replication units. In particular, it has been suggested that replication origins coincide with SARs.
