VTB takes control of Bank of Moscow

VTB will raise its stake in Bank of Moscow to 75% by injecting RbslOObn ($3.55bn) into the troubled lender by the end of third quarter of 2011. The move has unlocked a state bailout of Rbs295bn from the Russian central bank."We have reached agreement with other shareholders under which we will get a stake of over 75% in Bank of Moscow... in order to get state aid," said VTB's CEO Andrei Kostin.
