Botswana is not the most talked about country in Africa, for what are largely understandable reasons. This vast, landlocked country in southern Africa is wealthy, developed and - in contrast to its more turbulent neighbours - peaceful. It is also quite progressive, as demonstrated by the appointment of the then 30-year-old Bogolo Joy Kenewendo to its cabinet in 2018. As minister of investment, trade and industry, Ms Kenewendo is keen to promote her country as a stable and globally connected hub for doing business in Africa.
