The seafaring profession:a need for a new outlook in the malaysian maritime sector

Seafaring is one of the oldest professions. The history of the world is testimony to the glory of this profession. The discovery of the New World and the penetration of colonial powers into the outer world were achieved successfully through advances in the shipping sector and seafaring knowledge and skills. More so, the sacrifices made by the sailors before their families braving rough seas in search of maritime glory proves that seafaring is a profession that should be highly regarded in all manners and at all times.
