The International Hydrofoil Society (IHS) has announced that long-time members Mr Martinn and Connie Mandles have offered to fund up to USD5,000 a year in IHS hydrofoil achievement prizes for students. The competition will include a USD2,500 first prize and up to two USD 1,000 honorable mention awards. "This is an outstanding opportunity for the next generation of hydrofoil developers to be acknowledged for their efforts to advance the state of the art in hydrofoil and hydrofoil-assisted craft engineering, design and construction," said IHS. "We anticipate a very exciting competition and look forward to receiving many high-quality entries."
