Customers will take 11% fewer new commercial aircraft deliveries in the next decade than projected a year ago as the industry slowly emerges from the demand crisis created by COVID-19, says Boeing's updated forecast. The annual 20-year commercial aviation outlook paints a difficult picture for airlines, which Boeing believes will not recover to prepandemic traffic levels until at least 2023.
