I very much enjoyed the article on the passenger VC10s in the August issue. In the late '60s and early '70s my job entailed about six long-haul flights per year. These were split between VC10s and Boeing 707s. The noise difference between the two was quite astonishing and if possible I always tried to fly on a VC10.
