This month we take a break from the regular 'Room with a View' series to look back at what many aviation enthusiasts will tell you was their favourite hotel. The Emmantina Hotel's appeal stemmed from it being close enough to Athens Hellenikon Airport for you to get good photos of aircraft on approach from the comfort of its roof terrace. But added to that you got to see a great variety of traffic including plenty of rarities. Completing the package, the surrounding beach resort of Glyfada with its numerous tavernas and restaurants made it possible to combine a relaxing holiday in the sun with the hobby.
