Newquay Cornwall Airport has secured a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business after Apple Aviation announced it is to base its aerospace maintenance facility headquarters at the site's new Aerohub. The firm already operates at Manchester, East Midlands, London/Heathrow, Paris and Brussels as well as in the Middle East and Asia and is approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for EASA Part 145 base/line maintenance and EASA Part M Continued Air worthiness Management. The new facility, within the airport's Enterprise Zone, will consist of a 35,000sq ft (990m~2) hangar that can take two narrowbody or one widebody aircraft, with room to spare for more business.
