German AF Huey Special Colours

German Air Force UH-1H Iroquois 70+88 from LTG61 is pictured on March 6 painted in a special scheme with air force markings on the port side and army colours on the starboard, to mark the transfer of the type from the air force to the army. Based at Landsberg-Penzing, LTG61 transferred its Hueys to the army's Transporthubschrauberregiment 30 at Niederstetten on December 19, 2012. However, two UH-1Hs will continue to operate out of Landsberg, to provide a SAR service for the nearby Alps until 2014.
