The Belgian capital Brussels has a fine museum called Koninklijk Legermuseum which has an impressive aviation collection though also displays armoured vehicles, uniforms and weapons. The aircraft are housed in a building built in 1881 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Belgium's independence. The Exposition Hall is 560ft (170m) long, 230ft (70m) wide and 130ft (40m) high with a balcony level around the inside, all of which contains around 100 preserved aircraft, associated displays and aviation artefacts. Close by are the Schuman and Merode metro stations, served by Lines 1 and 5; the museum has free entry. An estimated 300,000 people visit the aviation element of the museum each year, no doubt initially impressed by the Sabena SE210 Caravelle 6N (OO-SRA) mounted on three poles, which gives a sense of scale on entering the enormous building.
