PARIS AIR SHOW 2015

The world of aviation descended on Le Bourget between June 15 and 21 for the 51st International Paris Air Show. Orders for 934 commercial aircraft were announced totalling $130bn, with Airbus coming out on top against rival Boeing. The European manufacturer announced deals for 421 aircraft worth $57bn, compared with Boeing's 331 at $50.2bn. Despite this, it was still a good show for Boeing, with the 787-9 Dreamliner's display one of the highlights of the airshow's flying programme. Embraer and ATR both achieved a raft of orders, and Bombardier debuted its flagship CSeries aircraft.
